We have to say thanks to Big Yellow for helping us with our firewood supply for next winter. This tree must be at least 100 years old...ok I don't know for sure, but she certainly is big! Just another day in our adventure at HillTop!
The first large container of metal left our property the other day...and you can't even really see a dent in the metal pile. The dumpster can fit in 7tonnes of material. We had it pretty full and it ended up weighing just over 3 tonnes with metal classified as tin. We know have what is known in the metal business as Steel #1...I am sure that we have about 30 tonnes...ok well at least that is what it looks like. Will definitely share the news when we get to that stage.
A beautiful day here on the South Shore...we are at a balmy +3 and enjoying the sunshine. We are thinking of putting together our onion seedlings...stay tuned for updates on the next post!
ReMining - our version of recycling metal. We are trying to "clean" up our place so we have found a place in town that will take all of our metal...which is the the tonnes! Yes, I typed correctly tonnes. I promise that I will include it in my next video which I will do soon!
We also found this old winter sleigh in one of the old buildings that is occupied by our resident porcupine. We think it is pretty cool. We don't know of any history of it or why it is here but we think we will definitely keep it. If anyone knows of any dates or history behind this style/type of sleigh, please feel free to let us know...we are very curious!
Happy Thursday and promise video and photos to come.
